Team Excel headed to Chicago with a 10-3 record and return with a 14-3 record winning all 4 games. On Saturday the team was bushy eyed and full of excitement awaiting the start of the Windy City tournament.

By the end of the first day of play with 3 wins under their belts the team was a little more subdued resulting from the intensity of each game, ending the first day of play at 11pm. The first win came against the IL-lady Fire 47-36, the second win came against IL-Renegades 57-26, the third win came against OH-MBA Warriors 51-35 and the forth and final win came Sunday morning against MO-Phon 46-30.

The players, parents and friends of Team Excel hosted a benefit celebration for Coach Todd Baugh at the home of former player Katie Gates. The party was a huge success with over 100 people in attendance. Coach Baugh’s family, friends and Team Excel family attended from as far away as Houston, Texas.
