Background

Team Excel was formed in March 2005 for the purpose of developing middle and high school aged girls to play the game of basketball at a competitive level.

Team Excel is registered to compete in the Missouri Valley Region of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

Organization

Team Excel is an incorporated non-profit entity in the State of Missouri. We maintain 3 directors: an administrator, a coach, and a parent. We are not governed by a Board. Instead, Team Excel relies on open communication and parent involvement regarding all matters effecting operations of the organization including tournament participation, practice schedules, fundraising initiatives and operating budgets.

The administrator is responsible for managing organization funds and assisting the head coach as required. Team Excel encourages participation from parents to assist with fundraising, tournament registration and travel accommodations.

Team Excel is a registered non-profit corporation in the State of Missouri and has been granted tax exempt status by the IRS under 501.c.3. Any donations or other contributions to Team Excel qualify as charitable deductions.
