Team Excel has qualified for AAU Nationals by winning the Super Regional in Springfield, Missouri.

With limited practice under their belts, Team Excel remained steadfast regarding their goal to reach Nationals. The first game of the tournament Team Excel opened with a 56 - 49 victory over the Missouri Valley Magic. The second game concluded with a 41 point loss to the elite Missouri Valley Magic team 29 - 70. The third and final pool game on Saturday concluded with a win over the Missouri Attack 66 - 40.

On Sunday, bracket play began with a victory over the Mo Valley Magic 72 - 58 which qualified Team Excel for the championship final. After the thumping Team Excel took from the Mo Valley Elite team on Saturday, the girls opened the game with an aggressive attack style of play. The outcome was 59 -58 Team Excel. An exciting conclusion to the Super Regional as Team Excel qualifies for the AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida in its first tournament of the season
