Todd Baugh, founder and Head Coach of Team Excel AAU Girls Basketball, Kansas City, MO, since its inception in March 2005 passed away on June 25, 2008. At Todd’s request, Team Excel will continue on as his legacy and will retain the philosophy and core operating principles that Todd steadfastly supported. Philosophy

The heart of our philosophy focuses on player development. Our goal is to develop the physical skill, agility and strength as well as the discipline and mental toughness required to play college basketball. Each player’s commitment and hard work is vital to the development of the skills required to reach their potential.“Team” Excel also fosters a supportive environment where all team members are focused on helping and encouraging each other. In addition to on-court development, we emphasize the importance of character, family values, education, sportsmanship and leadership. Finally, we stress the importance of each team member’s responsibility to be an example and mentor to younger female athletes.
